Parachutes, Petting Zoos, and Ponies

There was a "Spring Eggstravaganza" (their name, not mine)in Golden Gate Park last weekend, promising arts & crafts, carnival rides, live entertainment, people on stilts, egg hunts, and other Spring festivities. It was a mad house. We happily availed ourselves until West developed a fever and begged to go home. But not before petting a ton of furry creatures (bunnies, ducks, chickens, goats, and sheep), romping under a giant parachute, blowing bubbles, jumping in a bouncy castle, and riding a pony. I can only imagine what he might have packed into that hour if he had been feeling well!

Egg Head

We had a lovely Easter, full of homemade crepes (with almond-tella, strawberries, whipped cream, lemon juice, and powdered sugar), mimosas, French onion soup, egg hunts, and time with friends old and new. We had an egg hunt in the backyard with our downstairs neighbors, Lucy & Ged and, most importantly, their son Quinn, and both kiddos had a ball. It was almost worth the ensuing plague of insane, sugar-induced manic behavior. Almost.

The Rest of the (Sandy) Story

West was at the beach with Auntie Erin too and he brought a whole gang of friends with him.

Scooter Boy

West took his auntie Erin to all of his favorite places, the first stop being the skate park. Even though it wasn't in full swing (Saturday instead of Sunday), West put on quite a show and lived up to his YouTube reputation. He also joined in some impromptu chalk drawing, just for kicks.
